FAILURE IS NOT FINAL

Before you can set your goals for the upcoming year you have to take a realistic look at where you are currently. Sit down and evaluate your personal, professional, financial, and social life. So what, maybe you are not where you had hope to be at this time this year, be encouraged, a new year quickly approaches.

Success isn’t based on “avoiding” failure, but on “facing” it correctly.

Don’t be deceived by defeat, for so many have been destroyed when defeat has touched their lives and they have allowed themselves to think that this temporary failure was in fact final. Wrong. All they needed to do was realize that as long as there is breath in their bodies that there is always hope. For wherever there is hope there is always a way forward and a way out.

William A. Ward said, “Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead-end street.”

So what should you do if you find yourself in the midst of a temporary defeat?

Here are four suggestions that will help you to rise up and move forward.

  • Recognize that defeat is temporary
  • Be inspired by reading the stories of others who faced defeat and still achieved success.
  • Ask yourself the question, ‘What can I learn from this defeat?’
  • Dust yourself off and get up and go again.

I have come to believe that failure is a necessary part of our growth and maturity.

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” ~                                                                                                                         Winston Churchill

Begin Again!

And strive to make 2012 a year of opportunities, progression, and milestones.

“It Is Written”, Author’s Forum

Books to be returned...

Is it your dream to write a book? We all have a story. We all have lessons learned that we’d love to pass on to others. But are you being called to write or is it just something you’d like to do?

How can you know if God’s calling you to be a writer? Finding out doesn’t have to be mysterious or hard. But you won’t find the answer in your head, because God’s calling lives in our hearts.

If you are called to write, then you will naturally want to write things that honor God and not the things of no value to others or things that shows a prideful character. You see, it’s a blessing and a curse to be called to write, because the world may not want to publish what you write, but you still feel the drive to get it down. If so, God has a purpose in it, and you should just write as He directs. But realize that for it to sell, it will almost always need to be edited and revised. Because although God doesn’t make mistakes, all of US do

So for all of you writers and book lovers who crave for new and exciting journeys in the pages of a book, please join us as we host “It is written”, authors’ forum.

Excellence or Else will host an author’s forum where you can share your work, talk with other writers, promote yourself, exchange tips & tricks and much more.

It’s an evening of enlightenment and entertainment!

The Thief of Your Progress

Our yearly theme “the art of distinction” begins when you make great use of what you learn, by putting it into immediate application. To stand out in the crowd, you must be different. People tend to have a great amount of knowledge, yet they still fail in life. Why? Because they are controlled by “starting tomorrow”, which leads to a lack of action.

Opportunities come to everyone, but only those who take action can take advantage of them.

We purpose to take action when the idea strikes us, intending to do something when the emotion is high. But if you do not translate that intention into action fairly quickly, the urgency and motivation start to disappear.

Making clear your previous successes and achievements can help you to stay motivated.

Start now! Go beyond knowing what you want to do… get out there and do it!

Join us at the next Empowered for Success seminar as we share more on “the thief of your progress”.

We believe that the body, mind and spirit must all be in a healthy state to achieve “wellness”.  In order to create this natural state of balance it is important to know how to guide the body in that direction.

As the World Health Organization says, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease…”

Our mission is to provide wellness solutions to the community, educating on the importance of healthy lifestyles to prevent disease and promote longevity.

Please plan to join us in this workshop as we present…

Promoting healthier diets

  • What we feed ourselves has the capacity to provide not only simple nourishment, but also energy and vitality that are crucial to health. Are you interested in increasing energy, weight loss, improving sleep, eating better and feeling better? Learn how to establish an eating pattern with lifelong benefits of health and wellness.

Multi-nutrient supplements

  • Why should you take supplements if you eat a healthy diet? Quite honestly, it is one of the most powerful arguments among health professionals, but we along with many experts believe commercial farming which consist of pesticides, insecticides, and chemical fertilizers cause the loss of nutritional value of our crops along with toxins. According to the 1992 Earth Summit Soil Mineral Depletion Analysis, the United States has the worst soil in the world – 85% mineral depleted.

Reducing stress

  • We’re all experiencing some level of stress in our lives, and how well we cope with it can affect our health. This workshop will walk you through the health effects of chronic stress, the difference between good and bad stress, how to identify your body’s own cues about stress, and will teach you unique ways to de-stress.

Eco-friendly solutions to household products

  • It is not a question of whether you’ve been exposed to toxins – the question is how much impact they are having on your health. You will learn about the health hazards and environmental impact of chemical-based cleaning products, and how to make effective alternatives that are natural and inexpensive.

Dance fitness

  • Created by Angel Thacker, Afro-Belly Boogie™ is a dance fitness program making noise across Northern California and beyond!  Combining the cardio and toning aspects of African dance movements and the toning and conditioning aspects of Belly dance. This fitness program combines the best of these worlds with a dash of club mix to bring the groove to life. Great music, fabulous dance moves and big fun makes this workout a revolution in dance fitness.  So join Blue in this fun and fit workout class and “Join the Dance Revolution!”

Don’t miss this FREE workshop! We strive to inspire you to live your best life, in your best state of health.
